Dunmire Swamp (Wilderness)

The surrounding swamp environment, containing numerous encounter locations.

Berry Patch

A patch of ripe lantern berries — an ingredient used in swamp antidotes.

Mushroom Stump

An ancient tree stump in the deep swamp, covered in pale waning mushrooms. Three mushrooms are needed as an antidote ingredient.

Soggy Cemetery

A cemetery deep in the swamp. Contains grave markers and tomb flowers whose petals are used in antidote-making.

The Old Mill (Dungeon)

A crumbling wooden landmark deep in the swamp, half-sunk into the muck. A former working windmill, now overrun with creatures and once used as a boggard lair. Features a rotted front door blocked by thick vines.

Ground Floor

  • Rotted and sunken millstone at center
  • Mud-covered floor, sagging wooden staircase leading up
  • Thick vines and overgrown vegetation throughout
  • Formerly inhabited by swamp beetles

Second Floor

  • Ruins of mill machinery; wooden shaft connecting to millstone below
  • Ladder leads up to the top floor
  • Formerly guarded by a young monitor lizard

Third Floor / Top Floor (Former Boggard Lair)

  • Located directly beneath massive gears that once transferred windmill power
  • Broken gears and holes in the floor
  • A cage suspended above a floor hole was used to hold captive villagers
  • Multiple bedding areas for boggards
  • Primary habitation area for the Gogunta cult boggards (now cleared)

Boggard Dam Fortress

A massive edifice of mud, stone, and timber stretching between two squat hills deep in Dunmire swamp. One hill has sheer sides covered in brambles and is blocked by a massive tree; the other has a gentle slope leading down to swamp water. Houses boggard forces and (formerly) captive villagers.

Swamp Bridge (C1)

A wooden bridge made from logs and branches lashed with rope, connecting a nearby hill to the top of the dam. Wide enough to transport equipment. Guards positioned here; night guards suffer 2 penalty on Perception.

Tower (C2)

A squat mud-and-wood watchtower overlooking the entire dam site. A simple ladder ascends to the top, which is covered by a small straw roof and open to the sides. A large wooden cellar door at the base leads into the dam interior. Cannot see the docks or area behind the massive tree.

Infested Tree (C3)

The massive tree on the western side of the dam that blocks approach visibility. Provides cover for approaching creatures and can be climbed for an aerial approach to the dam.

The Dock (C4)

A small dock at the base of the dam, surrounded by deep swamp water. Contains cages and a door leading into the dam interior. A giant frog creature has been spotted in the waters nearby.

The Tunnels (C5)

An interior tunnel system beneath the dam with multiple chambers and passages. Used to hold captive villagers as a work force. Multiple boggard guard positions throughout.

The Sluiceway (C6)

The water control mechanism within the dam. Opening the sluiceway fully can cause catastrophic dam collapse — a critical structural vulnerability.
